Korea is most definately getting it!!
After announcing on their radio show that a very special guest will be on the show many may have wondered who this “Tambu” was, what I was about and why I would get an opportunity to make an appearance on a Korean radio station.
The company contacted us via FaceBook and offered us a spot on their show to introduce the me in Korea. The morning call is a place where people from all over the world share cultural values, information, advice and gossip from their country to Korea. ‘Morning Call’ not only gives you the daily updates of news at home and abroad but also valuable information for their daily lives with the selection of the latest K-Pop perfect in the morning hour. It is like a breakfast served at a five-star hotel, giving you energy and vigour!
Jenny‘s interview was very tasteful and we hope to do more work with Korea from this day on! More to come and we are very excited. Please read below for the full interview and audio. Know that two interviews took place so check for both as some question asked preliminary are not included in the audio and some question asked by the radio station are not included to the first interview. Very similar but different.
We hope you enjoy both the way we do and we hope to hear from you soon! Thank you we are very grateful.
Jenny: First, tell us where you are connecting to us from.
Tambu: I am connecting from London. It’s so nice to talk to you all.
Jenny: What is the weather like over there?
Tambu: It is cold!! a dry freezing cold!
Jenny: You are a very talented singer who most definitely has a place in the music industry. Can you tell us how it all started?
Tambu: I was deeply grieving my son Daniel at the time so it was either I successfully ended my days or used my talent to express my depression. So I made a choice.
Jenny: In the midst of all that you have positively singled yourself out by setting up your own label. Tell us about that.
Tambu: At first creating my label was just to produce myself through it. I felt like giving a label the choice to decided whether I could sing or not or whether I had a chance in this business was too powerful. When god gave me my talent he didn’t ask them whether he should go ahead and give me my singing voice. He just did so i trust god. I trust my gift. I trust everything that god put into me.
Jenny: I heard you currently train with a well known name in the industry and you have met with many artists. Who had a lasting impression on you?
Tambu: I guess it goes without saying that Mr. Norwood is like the father I never had. We don’t see each other often in a sense of going out together for drinks and attend events together. In fact, I haven’t seen him for a while! However, he is spiritually in a place that makes me remember that before it all I gotta give it to god. It must come from the fact that he is a pastor. He doesn’t have to say a word he just has a presence that humbles me so much. I remember the first day I ever met him I cried. Not because of any siblings he may have that I am a fan of but the energy he displays. It’s strange to explain but yes I’ve got Mr. Norwood’s back no matter what for sure. Pure, honest, full of love and straight to the point that’s my papa Norwood, as I call him.
Jenny: Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
Tambu: Happily married with another 2-3 children and at least two Grammys. Happy drinking a cocktail on a beautiful island by the beach.
Jenny: Kpop has been growing in popularity around the world… Has it caught your attention?
Tambu: In all honesty, I didn’t know about it until now! All i gotta say is 2NE1 rrruullleess!! They are full of swag cray crayyy I’m a fan!
Jenny: Before we go would you mind singing a lil’ something for us?
Tambu: Of course, I have a song called “Preach” on iTunes for a while now world wide so I’ll sing that.
Jenny: Did you write it and/or produced it? Just curious.
Tambu: Yes!! I am a singer songwriter and I got my hands on some productions this one was produced by my main man Keychainz though. My baby i love him! So much more music to come I am excited.
